If you haven’t stopped by the Andes Public Library lately you may not know that we’re settled now into our interim space at 295 Main Street – across from the Hunting Tavern and the bank. The library is freshly painted and the big front windows make the space bright. There’s plenty of parking on the side of the building and we’ve extended our library hours for the fall.

To make way for the Delhi firm of Denison-Finn to do the renovation and restoration of the library building, the Andes Public Library will be moving on September 2nd to 295 Main Street, the light green building catty-corner across the street.

It’s Flag Day, my day to be substitute librarian at the Andes Public Library from 10:00 am ‘til noon. After picking up the key to open, I have trouble getting the key into the lock and wiggle, jiggle until the key turns, but the door won’t open so I relock and unlock again; still can’t get the door to open.

We at the Andes Public Library wish all our patrons and friends near and far, a happy and healthy 2008. The Andes Public Library is looking forward to an exciting year with interesting and fun programs for young and old, as well as continuing our usual internet, fax and photocopying services, interlibrary loans and of course the latest in books and DVDs.
