HUNTING TAVERN IS OPEN FOR THE SEASON–June 2024

By Joanne Kosuda-Warner

The local history museum in town is open: Saturdays from 11 – 4 pm and some Sunday afternoons for special events and talks.

Views of Andes from 1900 to 1930 are on display in our main gallery in the “Andes Real Photo Postcard Show” which has been held over from last Summer. Images of when the train line came to town, local landmarks, events and commemorations, bird’s-eye views and even local crime scenes are captured on post cards—an early incarnation of social media.

Stay tuned for an ASHC talk on collecting local post cards, “Andes on Fire,” Anti-Rent war topics and other local highlights. See you at the Tavern! We are located at 288 Main Street, next to Wayne Bank.~
