Monday, April 22nd was inauguration day for the opening of “The Good Bowl” a fabulous salad-to-go dispensary at Bakers Grimm, 116 Main Street Delhi. In addition to all the famed baked goods the company is known for at the Delhi Wednesday Farmers Market: cherry Danish, almond and chocolate croissants, pretzel bagels, and crocodile bread among a host of breads and pastries, you can now purchase a custom-made salad of wonderfully fresh and varied ingredients at their new Main Street business address.

Over your bed of select greens you can choose, for example, seasoned roasted tofu, chicken, brown rice, olives, seasoned tomatoes, chickpeas, cheeses, broccoli. I topped my salad today with olives, roasted cashews, and almonds. Undecided about dressing I chose half garlic and half Mediterranean. Everything yummy!

This full meal in a bowl, representing the “12 foods,” cost $10. In warmer weather I’ll take my salad lunch to the park behind my office or a courthouse square park bench.

Thank you, owner Delmar Crim, and staff Jordan and Jesse, for adding this winning option to all your offerings. The shop is open Monday through Friday, 7-2.~
