Andes Central School District News and Upcoming Events:

   Dramatic Production

On November 3rd and 4th, Andes Central School put on a production of Willy Wonka, Jr. The play was directed by Yasmin Reshamwala along with help from our Costume and Art Director, Sharon Tucker. A huge thank you to Jason and Amber Mondore and Chris and Kristy Bottoms for all their help with Tech and Audio. The production was a huge success, with a packed house for both evenings. Our student actors did a tremendous job!

   Honoring Our Veterans

On November 9th, ACS had the privilege of honoring our hometown veterans. Laurie Day and our cafeteria staff prepared a special chicken and biscuits lunch. Following lunch, Jade Amber sang The Star Spangled Banner, and Kari-Astrid Haugeto talked about the Constitution. Our Honor Society students presented on the five pillars to show our appreciation and connection to the veterans. The middle school and high school chorus performed the Military Medley, followed by the K-1students singing and signing the Pledge of Allegiance. The program ended with some of the younger students presenting gifts to the veterans. It was our pleasure to be able to honor our hometown veterans in this special way. Thank you so much for your service!

   Andes Christmas Angels

Thank you for supporting this project in the past.  The pink and blue angel posters will be located at the Wayne Bank, Andes Post Office, United Presbyterian Church, United Methodist Church and The Cabin Hill Presbyterian Church. Please choose an angel, purchase an age-appropriate gift and return it wrapped to the school. Attach the pink or blue angel to the gift, so we know who it is for.  Make sure your gifts are returned by the date listed so we have enough time to get everything organized.  We are looking forward to your continued support this year.

   You’re Invited!

We will once again be hosting our Andes senior citizens for a holiday dinner on Thursday, December 7th at 1 pm for any Andes resident age 55 or older. This is a way for us to show our appreciation for your support through the years. The entire school looks forward to this day. If you would like to attend the dinner, please call the school and leave us your name, so we can be sure and prepare enough food.

Andes Central School Student Winter Concert will be held December 13th at 7 pm. All are welcome!

The Andes Central School District will be closed for Holiday Break from December 25th through January 1st, 2024.~
