Our litter pickup had to be rescheduled from the April dates, but the intrepid Andes Central School students still did a pickup on that cold day with remnants of the late season snowfall on the roadside. We are so grateful for their participation! And a big thank you to John Bouton and the Andes road crew who set up the road work signs and picked up the trash bags for us.
The new dates for the rest of us to get out and pick up are Wednesday, June 8th, and Saturday June 11th. Meet at 9 am at the Andes General Store with work gloves, boots, clear plastic garbage bags, your own car, a pack to carry your bags and water, and any “reacher” tools you might have. We do have some to lend, thanks to the local Rotary Club! Wear a bright shirt or jacket or orange vest. We’ll also have yellow vests for those who don’t have their own. You can contact Nancy at 676-3534 / firstname.lastname@example.org or Ann at 676-3643 / email@example.com if you would like to help or to get more information. ~
