At the Planning Board Meeting, September 13th, via Zoom Dancer Glenna Yu and woodworker Tyler Tamburo’s plan to build a dance studio and wood shop for an artistic retreat on their 37 acre property on Wolf Hollow Road in the Town of Andes had a public hearing. The facilities would also include a bathhouse and sleeping quarters for 3 visiting artists/artisans at a time from outside the region here on seasonal residencies. The studio/workshop will be sound proofed and has a nature buffer from their neighbors. It was determined it was not a campsite and the artists will have their expenses paid. In response to a question from the public, the owners pledged to respect the natural and rural setting. The plan was approved.
Walter Devivo’s application to do a minor subdivision of 18 acres out of a 102 acre parcel on Cross Mountain Road was discussed. More questions remain to be answered as to the history of the property. As the applicant was not present the Planning Board did not reach a conclusion in this meeting.
Charles “Skip” Vezzetti applied for a Lot Line Change on some property he owns off Route 30 near Rainbow Hill Road. He purchased an adjoining property from a neighbor to provide a buffer and protect sight lines from the properties he has owned since 1982. There will be a public hearing on this Lot Line Change on October 13, at 7 pm. That is a Wednesday meeting, as the holiday preempts the usual Planning Board Monday Meeting.
The Minutes for the August meeting were approved, and the meeting was adjourned by Frank Winkler, Chair.~
