Caralista Shop + Studios is the eponymously named retail space curated by Cara, a holistic health practitioner and botanical skincare formulator. The shop is designed around the notion of tranquil simplicity and living intentionally with a focus on sustainability. This is the flagship space for Caralista Skincare with a curated selection of brands that include accessories, apparel, housewares. The shop also houses the studio and gallery space for fine artist Emily Johnston, and the graphic design studio of Craig Duffney. Summer shop hours will be Thursday-Friday 12-4, Saturday-Sunday 11-4 and Monday-Wednesday by appointment only.
Artist Emily Johnston came to Delaware County in 2016 with plans for a three month stay to work on a drawing project. Four years later she’s thrilled to be welcoming visitors to her studio and gallery at 119 Main Street in Andes. The storefront she shares with Cara Lista houses a rotation of her photographs and drawings and will soon double as a showroom for the collection of lighting and furniture she is designing with her partner Jesse Wilson under the moniker YOU ARE HOME. “It’s been my dream for several years to find a hidden house in the woods and balance secluded living with working from a community-facing studio on Main Street,” writes Emily. “We moved into our wooded hideaway last Fall, and a few months later, when Cara asked if I might want to share this space, it couldn’t have felt more right. I’m really excited to be offering interior design consultations in addition to my fine art work too.”
The gallery will be open 11-4 Saturdays and Sundays and by appointment.~
