24 hours of snowfall, 2 days of sun,

Sweater wearing, sap-rising,

spirit-raising days!

Sorbet snow shrinks from green islands,

uncovers snowdrops. Faith is the flower

blooming beneath the snow.

A rinsing rain sluices snow from lawn,

leaves suds.

In the woodland pool, frog eggs:

a gelatinous mass of promise.

Sparrow pairs vie

for space in the  birdhouse.
