During the last few months, members of our Drama Club have been busy preparing for their next production: “Legally Blonde” which will be presented on Friday, March 9th, Saturday, March 10th; at 7 pm and Sunday, March 11th at 2 pm. We hope you will all come out and support our students.

Thirty of our children in grades PreK – 6 have been enjoying going to Plattekill Ski Center on Fridays for a day of skiing. This is a great chance for the little ones to learn to ski and enjoy the snow.  We would like to thank everyone for the donations to our Elementary Ski Club, which helps lower the cost to families.

The third quarter began on January 29th. On February 14th, 68% of our 5-12 students were recognized at the Academic Recognition assembly for meeting requirements for Honor, High Honor or Superintendent’s List during the 2nd quarter.  Kiara Weaver (K), Lacey Green (1st grade), Logan Newbold (2nd grade), Jesse Wright-Bourke (3rd grade) and Gabby Bene (4th grade) were also named Student of the Quarter for their grade level.  They all received certificates and a coupon for free ice cream in the school cafeteria.

On March 17th the following students will be performing in the Delaware County All-County Festival at Delaware Academy:  Christina Chakar, Shane Edwards, Halie Gardner, Anna Newbold, Dusty Richards, Lila Green, Katie Edelson, Emily Andersen, Peter James DePierro, Lea Edelson, Alexis Redden, Patricia Karpovich and James Camuti. Gavin Nichols and Stanley Andersen were chosen as alternates and may also perform. We are proud that so many of our students will be taking part in this county-wide concert.

Our Senior Class is excited about their upcoming Senior Trip. They will be taking a cruise to the Bahamas March 26th-April 1st. Members of our Travel Club will also be away during that time. They will be going to Houston, Texas to help with the rebuilding efforts after the devastation left by Hurricane Harvey last Fall.

Lastly, the administration and Board of Education are currently working on the budget for the school year 2018-19 as we plan for the May 15th annual meeting and budget vote. The public hearing and budget presentation will take place on Thursday, May 3rd at 7 pm.~
