Andes Library Magazines / Periodicals – Print to Digital?

The Andes Library has a wonderful selection of magazines that very few people seem to be checking out. The Four County Library System is encouraging libraries to move from print periodicals to digital because Flipster allows patrons to search and download thousands of current or archived periodicals. We are in the process of deciding which print magazine subscriptions to renew, so if you want to see us keep a physical copy of your favorite ʼzine, please give me a call or drop me an email at an.ill@4cls.org.

Call for Local Authors

I am very interested in featuring the many talented, locally-based published authors we have in this community.  I am currently compiling a list of authors and my hope is to eventually have two copies of each of their books on hand—one in the general circulation and one on a special bookcase close to the entrance of the library, most likely where the periodical table is now. Please reach out to me if you or someone you know is a published author based in the area (Andes and surrounding communities), including both permanent residents and second homeowners. I may also be interested in having copies of CDs produced by local musicians as well.~
