We would like to thank the Andes Fire Department for bringing one of their fire trucks and the Delaware County “Family Safe House” to school on Tuesday, October 11th to teach our PreK-6th graders about fire safety.

The 8th Annual Evening of Excellence was held on Thursday, October 6th to recognize those seniors who maintained an average of 90% or higher during the 2015-16 school year. The students honored this year were Serena Bacon, Winnie Richards, Noah Dougherty, Montana Damone, Samantha Camuti, James DePierro, Danni Misner, Alexis Redden, Journey Sulger, Lauren Weaver, Jessica Ruppert, Michaela Valkavich, Stanley Andersen, James Camuti, Britney Davila, Lea Edelson, Mathew Ruppert, Rachel Masterson, and Eliza Miskovitz.  We would like to congratulate these students on all their hard work and accomplishments.picture1

The ACS Drama Club will be presenting “Mary Poppins” on Friday, November 4th, Saturday, November 5th at 7 pm and Sunday, November 6th at 2 pm. Since several of our actors play on the South Kortright soccer teams, the Saturday performance may be cancelled if the teams do well at sectionals and have games on Saturday. We will keep everyone informed as we get closer.

On Thursday, November 3rd, school will be dismissed at 12:25 for all students. Elementary teachers will be holding parent-teacher conferences in the afternoon and parents of 7-12 students can come to the school from 6:30 – 8 pm to meet with their children’s teachers.

We will once again be hosting our senior citizens for a holiday dinner on Friday, December 2nd at 1 pm for any Andes resident age 55 or older. This is a way for us to show our appreciation for all of your support through the years. If you would like to attend the dinner, please call the school and leave us your name so we can be sure to prepare enough food. ~
