The Board of Education has been working diligently to prepare a budget which will stay within the tax levy threshold of .21%. That said, the Board has proposed a tax levy increase of .21%, which is at the legal limit under a simple majority vote. We will continue to be efficient with our combined grades of pre-k and K, grades 1 & 2, and grades 5 & 6. The Board is also managing increases in mandated costs such as salaries, health insurance and related costs.

The public hearing on the budget will take place at 7 pm on Thursday, May 5 in the Distance Learning classroom. Voting on the budget and board of education members, as well as a proposition to purchase a new 28 passenger school bus, will take place on Tuesday, May 17 from noon – 8:00 pm in the Fitness Room.

Open house will also be held on Tuesday, May 17 from 6:30 – 8 pm.

The student body is excited that their Junior Prom is scheduled for May 21st and will be held at the Andes Hotel.~
