On Saturday, February 20th, Willow Drey Farm, a new 4-season event venue in Andes, and Joe Damone Photography, hosted over 70 donors for an evening of jazz, candlelight and fine dining. Sponsored by St. James Lake Delaware Church, the event raised over $8,500 for the Food Bank which serves residents of Andes and Bovina. The food bank also makes food deliveries to homebound seniors and offers healthy snacks to Andes Central School students.
The evening featured Jazz by Elsa Cornish and her trio and a scrumptious spicy chicken dinner prepared by Chef Liza Belle. In addition there was a silent auction of items donated by local businesses and artists.
Andes Town Supervisor Wayland “Bud” Gladstone was in attendance and said, “It’s great that so many people have come out to support such a good cause.”~
