August in Andes always means Community Day! And at the Andes Public Library, Community Day always means our Huge Book Sale! We’ve been squirrelling away a lot of donated books as well as some we have weeded from our collection in order to have a fresh selection available. So while you’re strolling up and down Main Street enjoying all the games, food, music, shopping and more, be sure to stop by the porch of the library to browse our shelves and tables for some real bargains. You can’t beat the prices!
We have a real treat in store for everyone on Thursday, August 27th at 7 pm. As a continuation of our “Collection Series,” Andes resident and wood craftsman extraordinaire Tyler Gray will be at the library to discuss and display his craft. If you have not yet had the chance to see and enjoy his work, make sure you don’t miss this opportunity. If you have, come to learn how he makes his magnificent creations. Examples of his workmanship will be on display and a few pieces will be available for sale. This is a “don’t miss!” ~
