On Saturday, August 30th, approximately 30 people gathered at the Palmer Hill Scenic Overlook/Trailhead for the dedication of the interpretive sign that identifies the various Catskill peaks that can be seen from the spot. The sign was created by the Town of Andes with the help of the Department of Environmental Conservation and paid for by a generous donation by Thomas and Janet Losavio in memory of their son Thomas. Marty Donnelly thanked the Losavios for their gift. The Losavios stated that this sign was a fitting tribute to their son who loved these mountains.
