On a cool crisp afternoon fourteen hikers gathered on the Shavertown trail here in Andes to install a sign-in box beautifully constructed by Fred Reckner (shown above) of the Catskill Mountain Club. The group included Ann Roberti who initiated, got permission from the DEP, and helped in the construction and signage installation of this trail. Ann is the same dedicated person that gave birth to our now famous Andes Rail Trail. Ann does not stop as she is now deeply involved in getting the Palmer Hill trail up and running. Andes thanks Ann for all her efforts. ~
