LIBRARY NOTES – February 2014

Whew! I don’t know about you, but I always run myself ragged around the holidays. Despite enjoying the time with family and friends immensely, I’m always a wee bit glad when the festivities are over. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to be a black bear for a few months, able to snuggle into a nice warm bed and just stay there for a while?

Here at the library, we took a break from some of our programs while everyone was otherwise occupied. As things are returning to normal, we’ll be working on a schedule for the upcoming months. Look for more information regarding Game and Movie Nights, book group meetings (now called LitWits), the Italian Circle and others.

An application called “Patron Search” is now available on two of our public access computers. This software will allow the user to search for items in our local catalog, by title, author or subject. Upon locating a title of interest, you’ll also be able to see if it is currently checked out and if so when it is scheduled to be returned. Try it out when you get a chance. Of course, for those who prefer to ask the staff for help, we are always glad to do so. ~
