ANDES DEMOCRATS HOST GATHERING – JUNE 2013

The Andes Democratic Party will hold a gathering on Sunday, June 2, from 4-6 pm at the home of Dorothy Lyman at the intersection of Gladstone Hollow and Gambichler Roads in the Town of Andes. The event is open to anyone who is interested in the future of the town, and those who are interested in running for town office, as Democrats or on independent lines, are especially welcome.

Discussion will include the possibility of forming a Democratic club in the town. The club would work with the town’s Democratic committee to raise funds for any campaign expenses that might be incurred.

This year there will be seven town offices on the ballot – supervisor, two members of the town council, two town justices, assessor and superintendent of highways.

The party’s 2011 campaign was a successful one, thanks to the many people who worked hard to get Democrats elected in the town for the first time in many years, and the committee is hoping for further success in 2013. A similar gathering was held at the same site two years ago.

The hostess is planning plenty of delicious refreshments, so come and enjoy good food and good conversation. ~
