If you’ve been looking in vain for well-priced, gently used furniture, we suggest you take a look at JUST THE THING, the recently opened shop on the second floor of the Commons in Margaretville. This visitor realized immediately that with their selections of attractive, but not precious, furniture, decorative pieces and collectibles, they are filling an important niche. And she was irrationally tempted to put down a deposit on a tobacco brown vintage leather armchair that looked and felt delicious even though she has no room for it! End tables with storage shelves and matching love seats also caught this window shopper’s eye.

Jane Wahrburg, the ebullient redhead you may know from her earlier auction business or from her mosaic art work shown at the Guild, is in partnership in this venture with Richie Andersen, head of maintenance at Roxbury Run, and Jacinto George, partner of Gerry Murphy of M Gerard Home, across the hall on the Commons second floor.
