Fourteen attended the Andes Senior Club meeting at the Andes Fire Hall on October 18th, which started with a dish-to-pass at noon. As usual, all the food was tasty: a tossed salad, two potato dishes, two macaroni dishes, chicken dishes, and for dessert, apple crisp, fudge and two buttermilk pies made by Peg Barnes. Never heard of Buttermilk pie? Well, see the box on this page for a recipe that makes two pies.
Seniors were told to look for information on the AARP driving course in the September Dispatch.
Club members are again looking ahead to the annual Christmas Party / Yankee Swap. More details and a definite date will be available at next month’s meeting.
At the Show and Tell, Bud and Peg Barnes brought a hand stamp canceller and a wool carder.
The Thanksgiving meeting will be held on November 15th. Bill Elwood will cook the turkey, and Joi Brundege will be the hostess.
Reminder: It is time to pay the annual membership dues. ~
