On a beautiful May afternoon we welcomed the pre-K and Kindergarten class from Andes Central School, accompanied by teacher Susie Little and assistant Janice Armstrong. Visiting various places throughout Andes as part of their “Community Helpers” lesson, they listened to stories, played with puzzles and toys and filled our library with the most glorious sounds!
Attention audio book lovers! We’ve just received over forty new titles as part of the Audio Circuit program. Stop in to see what’s now available for your listening enjoyment during those daily commutes, vacation jaunts or Spring housecleaning.
August may seem awfully far away, but it’s closer than you think. Andes Community Day planning is already underway all over town and the Andes Public Library is doing its part by preparing for the annual book sale. So… now is a good time to weed out those volumes from your personal collection that you know you won’t be reading again and donate them to the Library for this sale. Please, only books in good condition.
Don’t forget! The Library’s Open House to thank patrons and supporters will be held on Sunday, June 12th from 3-6 pm. So stop in to socialize while enjoying some tasty treats and check out our new Gazebo and Deck – providing Mother Nature cooperates long enough for the construction to be completed in time. ~
