The Andes Senior Club got lucky on October 26th, the day of our bus trip. After several gloomy, rainy days we had sunshine. The bus left early for the Oktoberfest at the Best Western Resort at Hunts Landing in Pennsylvania. On arriving at 11:00 am, a late brunch of bacon, eggs, sausage, breads and more was ready for us. After brunch we had free time to play bingo, browse in the gift shop, or just walk around outside enjoying the sunshine while watching a flock of Canada Geese on the pond until a buffet dinner with many choices of German foods was ready. After dinner, John Stankey and the Coal Miners entertained with jokes, singing, and music for dancing until 3:00 pm when the bus left for Andes. The fall colors were still lovely, especially the reds of the sumac and burning bush and the yellow-gold of the Oaks. ~
