Dinner and Traditional Dancing on October 16
Save this date, Put it on your calendar, Enter it in your Blackberry!
Starting at 5:00 pm at the Presbyterian Church you are invited to help Raise the Roof on the back of our historic building on Delaware Avenue.
This goodwill dinner will feature Andes’ Ron Guichard’s ‘famous ziti’ followed by a popular rendition of the fabulous dessert, tiramisu. The feast will precede traditional Catskill Mountain dancing taught and called by John Jacobson and fellow musicians of The Tremperskill Boys. You don’t need to know how to square dance; you’ll learn how in a good spirited atmosphere. (Pun intended.) Would you like to Duck for the Oyster or March(ing) into Georgia, or are you familiar with Bonaparte Crossing the Rhine or the Rockies? Can your feet waltz? The church has a lovely wood floor for dancing. Come with or without a partner.
Goodwill donations will be used to put a new roof on the back of the church. Hardworking volunteers are counting on the generosity of the community to kick-start the project on October 16. “Learn to Dance” or Show Us How You Can and “Raise the Roof”.
Dinner begins at 5:00 pm and dancing about 7:00. Call Joe Sicinski (676-8312), Dorothy Lyman (676-4598) or Reverend Steve Swanson (676-6011) for more information.~
