LIBRARY NOTES — October 2010

More improvements are in the works here at the Andes Public Library.  Now that Fall has arrived, it is getting dark earlier and earlier. For the safety of our patrons and staff, lights will be installed in the parking lot. And plans are underway to create an outdoor space which will take advantage of the phenomenal features Mother Nature has left at our back door.  A gazebo and deck will offer places to relax, read, use your computer or chat with friends while absorbing the beauty of the stream that meanders through the greenness of Bohlmann Park.

On October 2nd, we will be holding a Silent Auction at the Library from 2 pm – 5pm. Join us to bid on a wide assortment of items such as original artwork, antiques, handmade crafts, services and more while enjoying the company of friends and neighbors. Proceeds will help us fund the improvements mentioned above as well as additions to our book and DVD catalogs. It is through the generosity of our supporters that we are able to offer new materials to the library’s patrons. ~
