A Review of Starlet by Randi Reisfeld

This month I am reviewing the book “Starlet.” It’s about a 17 year old girl named Jacey. Her friends Dash and Desi along with her cousin Ivy are Jacey’s “posse”. The life of a movie star is complicated. You have to be here at this time, then you have to run across the street to this store to pick up this “totally fab!” outfit. The question is…. is it too much for a small town Michigan girl? Between a boyfriend back home, a little brother on the way,  constant rushes to movie sets AND senior prom all in a span of 5 months, can she take it? Also there is another bad boy movie star that’s got the hots for Jacey and Jacey herself is ending up in his reassuring arms. OH THE IRONY OF LOVE AND LIFE!!!!! Can Jacey survive?? Will the prom turn out to be horrible? Will the movie star bad boy steal Jacey from her already boyfriend’s arms and “I love you’s”? All good questions that can only be answered by reading the book. ~
