YOUNG ADULT READING OFFERS A GLIMPSE INTO TEENAGE LIFE — January 2010

TTYL by Lauren Myracle

bookThis month my review is on the young adult book TTYL (for older folks that means talk to you later). This book, written by Lauren Myracle, takes place in the cyber chat rooms on the internet. It was an enjoyable book about the lives of three teenage girls who love life about as much as they hate it. The main conversations were about crushes, being crushed by crushes, weird teachers and the almost unbearable normal teenage life. The conversations are between mad maddie, zoegirl, and snow angel. This book reminds me a lot of another book I have read by Hillary Frank called I Can’t Tell You. Both TTYL and I Can’t Tell You have the same concept. The difference between the books is that I Can’t Tell You is college notes instead of teenage chat rooms. I enjoyed both books and look forward to my next book review!  ~
