To make way for the Delhi firm of Denison-Finn to do the renovation and restoration of the library building, the Andes Public Library will be moving on September 2nd to 295 Main Street, the light green building catty-corner across the street.
We expect to be in the temporary quarters for 6 months. Our hours there will be:
Monday and Tuesday: 1 – 7 pm
Wednesday: 11 am – 4 pm
Thursday: 5 – 8 pm
Friday: 1 – 5 pm
Saturday: 10 am – noon
We are excited that Ed Denison and Dan Finn won the competitive bid for the work. The construction costs will be covered by gifts from Walter Gladstone, Wayne and Diane Decker, Judy Garrison and other generous donors, contributors to our fundraisers and grants from the O’Connor Foundation and the Education Department of the State of New York.
To facilitate the move, the library will be closed during the first week of September. We’ll open again on Monday, September 8th. Come see the new space, and watch for news about the progress of the renovations on the old building! ~
