New signs are popping up all over Andes. It will be a while before some of us stop referring to Cassie’s, but the eatery is now officially known as Woody’s Country Kitchen, as evidenced by the bright, amusing sign now hanging out front.
The National Bank of Delaware County has replaced its weather-worn sign with a fresh new one bearing the bank’s colorful, evocative logo. They’ve also installed Enter and Exit signs along the driveway so their patrons remember whether they’re coming or going.
Town Hall’s imminent move to the front of the pool building on Delaware Avenue is heralded by newly installed letters on the front side. Is it possible that various town meetings will soon be able to adjourn to the pool if issues get too heated?
And of course it’s the time of year when those lovely wooden cows announcing the annual Meredith Dairy Fest are mooo-ving onto many local lawns.
On a more human note, one of Andes’ most illustrious residents is now sporting a brand new pair of knees. Dick Liddle is already back on his tractor and may be dancing a jig before we know it. Way to go, Dick! ~
