All of our “snow birds” are back. The Andes Senior Club is in full swing with three activities scheduled in June. On June 3rd, our first bus trip of 2008 will be a dinner cruise on Lake George, followed by a bus tour of Prospect Mountain.

Tuesday, June 10th is the date for the Delaware County Senior Council annual Pork Barbecue and Pie Auction at the Delhi American Legion on Page Avenue, in Delhi.
A full course dinner of barbecued pork, including strawberry shortcake will be served from 4:30 to 6 pm, a bargain for $8. The pie auction will begin at 5:30 pm and go until all pies are gone. Each member club of the Senior Club donates homemade pies. Proceeds support senior services in Delaware County. If you can’t be there for dinner, attend the pie auction-it’s lively and fun. Our monthly meeting will be on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at the Andes Methodist Church. There will be blood pressure screening from 11:30 to 12 noon and then a pot luck dinner at noon, followed by the program and meeting. A representative from Hospice and Palliative Care will explain expanded services available through Hospice. We welcome all area seniors. ~
