The following is the responsibility of property owners and occupants:All snow & ice must be removed from hamlet sidewalks before 9:00 AM of each day, to the full width of the sidewalk. Where an unpaved but common footway exists, it should be cleared to the width of 4 feet.

If removal of snow or ice will cause damage to sidewalk, ashes, sand or other appropriate material shall be strewn by 9 AM and kept strewn until weather permits sidewalk to be cleaned.

Before 9 AM, ice and snow must be removed from roofs where they could otherwise fall onto streets or sidewalks within the hamlet. Suitable guards may also be installed.
