The bids for the Streetscape project were opened as scheduled in the Albany offices of the Department of Transportation (DOT). The low bid exceeded the engineer’s estimate, so much of the paperwork had to be redone. The town board had to pass a new referendum along with a new affidavit by the town Supervisor. These have been resubmitted to the DOT. We are now informed that the contract is scheduled to be awarded in the Albany offices of DOT between December 14th and 18th. It would be most helpful if anyone in the hamlet who requires repair to their water or sewer connections under Route 28 would have the work done as soon as possible so that road work can be done.
