FACE LIFT ON MAIN STREET – January 2007

Chace-Randall Gallery, 49 Main Street, is getting yet another face lift this winter. In May 2005, Zoe Randall opened Chace-Randall, named for Edward C. Chace, who built the Victorian residence in 1878. At that time, Randall, put the porch back on the building so that gallery guests could enter. In August, she restored 49 Main to the painted lady she once was with an array of historic colors. Now the gallery interior will see clean, plastered walls, ceilings restored to their original height, and (close your eyes, Jim Andrews!), professional track lighting to best show the work of the gallery’s stellar group of permanent exhibiting artists.

Chace-Randall Gallery will be closed for renovation January 1st, and will reopen for Presidents’ Day weekend.

In other Main Street news, Nate tells us he will continue the popular Wednesday night dinners at Cassie’s Kitchen with Maria Henderson cooking her specialties. Join the crowd from 5 PM until 9 PM ~
