The Andes Library is now bursting with the recent arrival of four hundred books and a hefty collection of audio- tapes. Both collections are on revolving loans from the Four County Library System. Also available for loan, are the library’s own collection of video -tapes. So, as the days grow shorter and the nights longer, stop by the Andes’ Library and get a fascinating book, a thrilling audio tape or an exciting video to ward off those winter blues!
A performance by Jesse’s Backyard Orchestra, on October 5th, was the final event in the Andes Public Library’s five part series, Eyes and Ears on Andes. Performing on the Library’s porch on a delightful sunny day, the band’s bluesy sound and catchy rhythms attracted many passers- by to stop and enjoy the show. Also on hand inside the library, was an exhibit of all the creative work made by participants during the series. Apple cider and homemade baked goods completed an entertaining and fun filled afternoon. ~
