Time flies. It doesn’t seem possible that the Andes Gazette has reached the mature age of ten. It’s also hard to imagine that my time as Superintendent at Andes Central School is drawing to an end.

There’s a demographic shift underway across our land. As the baby boomers begin to retire, a sizeable chunk of the American population is tipping toward the “golden years.” That shift poses unique challenges to America and her institutions.
