On June 10th, the entire ACS student body and faculty marched into a light rain to line the sidewalk in front of the new bridge across Liddle Brook where Dr. Chakar, State Senator Seward, members of the School Board and residents awaited them.
Dr. Robert Chakar in his office at ACS where he serves as Superintendent (a post held jointly with that of Superintendent at Margaretville Central School) received a call from the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) regarding the 2019 NYS Superintendent of the Year.
On Monday, June 10th, we were finally able to celebrate the opening of our front pedestrian bridge with a “ribbon cutting ceremony” with Senator James Seward present.
The Board of Education has ben working to prepare a school budget with a public hearing set for May 9th; The Drama Club presented the Wizard of Oz ; work has resumed on the pedestrian bridge.
