As of this writing, it is hard to imagine there will be a time without big piles of snow covering the sides of the roads, but there will be. And it is time again to start thinking of what may be hiding there and what to do about it. The “Bag Ladies of the Tremperskill”, Nancy McShane and Ann Roberti, are again seeking help in their annual endeavor of litter removal. They have chosen two days so that we can accommodate those who can only make a weekday and those who can only make a weekend. Debris removal days will be Wednesday, April 22rd and Saturday, April 25th, 9 am to 1 pm . Rain dates will be April 29th and May 2nd.
Meet at 9:00 AM at Hogan’s with work gloves, boots, clear plastic garbage bags, a pack to carry your bags and water, and any “reacher” tools you might have. Wear a bright shirt or jacket or orange vest. You can contact Nancy at 676-3534 or Ann at 676-3643 or firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to help or to get more information. Surprisingly, participants report that this is a fun and rewarding endeavor so think about joining us this year! If you can’t make our organized litter pickup, perhaps you can join us in spirit by picking up on the road by your home.
Hope to see you there!
