It was a stunningly beautiful day on Saturday, July 3rd, when the Blues Maneuver played in Ballantine Park. People of all ages enjoyed the music: jazz, blues, rock and some old boogie-woogie that I can remember my uncle playing on his 78 “Victrola”. About 70 people came with blankets and chairs. There were picnics, dancing, children and dogs everywhere loving the day that was made possible with the help of volunteers and funded through donations of the Friends of Ballantine Park and the New York State Council of the Arts Decentralization grant administered by the Roxbuy Arts Group. In the meantime, another concert is scheduled for August 7th, from 2-4 p.m. featuring Country Express. We hope to see you there.
