The Andes noon whistle blew while three bugles played taps as a part of the New York City memorial service commemorating 9/11/01. I heard both the ordinary and ceremonial that did not blend. Each made me think.
The Storycrafters will be performing at the Andes Central School on Friday Oct. 24th at 6:30. Their concert is one in the series of Family Storytelling Concerts hosted by the Community Storytelling Troupe.

Nature’s bounty was in evidence at our September meeting with many delicious summer and fall vegetable dishes along with 3 different fruit desserts. We had a very good turn out for the meeting and welcomed new members and guests.

There are many advantages of small schools. Study after study lauds the potential positive impact learning in a small school offers students. The more we learn, the more we appreciate that bigger is not always better.
