The house at left is located at 227 Delaware Avenue here in Andes. Although it sits unoccupied and for sale now, it wasn’t always so. This picture was taken on December 25, 1948, the first birthday of Inez and Carl Dehmel’s daughter, Carol. The Dehmels ran a bar/restaurant know as The IanCee (I for Inez and C for Carl). They sold the building to Ana and Peter Ali before moving their family to Ohio, where Carol and her husband Bill Cooper still live. They have four children and some lovely grandchildren. AND ------ Carol enjoys her gift subscription to the Andes Gazette. Submitted by Janis Jacques
