To the Editor:

Hoorah for the Andes road crew!!!

When you meet someone who works for the Andes town road crew, please acknowledge their dedication and hard work. The torrential rain storm on June 28th washed out the bottom of Dingle Hill making it impossible for us to get to Route 30. Because we needed to drive a dear friend to Albany for a medical procedure, they responded quickly by making the road accessible.

The true test of a community is whether or not individuals care for one another’s well-being. Shared values and empathy are needed to make us feel safe and of value.

We give a hearty thank you for your help in getting our friend to where he needed to be.

With gratitude,  Doug and Brenda Reeser
